(www.techsmith.com) recently released Camtasia Studio 2, an integrated screen-recording solution that produces highly compressed, hi-fi Macromedia Flash and streaming media output that can be burned onto CDs or broadcast via the Internet. Camtasia Studio records screen activity in real time, making it possible to record any content, including synchronized video and audio from whiteboards and PowerPoint presentations. This makes Camtasia Studio particularly useful for distance learning, computer-based instruction and training, and video-on-demand course content. The program is also ideal for creating illustrative application tutorials to help faculty and administrators meet professional development goals. In addition, TechSmith has released SnagIt 7, which enables users to take screenshots of exactly what they see on their screens in order to communicate ideas faster, clearly explain concepts, and archive important electronic information with point-and-click convenience. The program is ideal for creating handouts, lesson materials, reports and any other documentation where graphics are used.
