Struggling Spanish-speaking students can utilize AutoSkill International Inc.’s Academy of Reading SpanishTutor (www.autoskill.com) to help them read and write better in English. The program is designed for use by Hispanic students who use the company’s Academy of Reading program. Neutral enunciations and a generic accent are used to deliver instructions and assistance in Spanish for Academy of Reading applications. Once installed on lab computers, the instructor needs only to assign a native language preference to each student, which stays with them at any computer.
