PLATO Advanced Writing Process and Practice

PLATO Learning (www.plato.com) has two new products designed to improve students’ literacy skills. PLATO Advanced Writing Process and Practice is a high school-level program that teaches writing strategies, grammar and mechanics. With more than 39 lessons, Advanced Writing Process and Practice teaches writing strategies for different purposes and audiences. It also provides students with grammar instruction that emphasizes contextual usage. In addition, PLATO Achieve Now K-3 Reading is a supplemental program that helps address the requirements of Reading First. The tutorials can be used individually, in small groups, or in whole-group settings to instill basic reading skills in early and struggling readers.
