LaunchPad

ClassLink LaunchPad

LAUNCHPAD, one of three components of the ClassLink System 2000 suite from ClassLink Inc. (www.classlink2000.com), is an easy-touse electronic gateway where teachers and students can access their individualized software applications and educational URLs, as well as interact with each other from any Web-enabled computer. Using LaunchPad, teachers can monitor student desktops and provide real-time feedback to students as they do homework by viewing and responding to their requests for online help via chat or “shadow” sessions. The program also allows teachers to interactively collaborate with other faculty members in order to create lesson plans or work on projects; use shared folders to distribute lesson resources or lecture notes to students; create new users or reset existing user passwords; and use metasearch techniques to quickly and easily find students currently working on the system. Pricing varies.
