MICHIGAN TEACHERS TOATTEND SPACE CAMP.

On May 4, seven teachers from the state of Michigan will be awarded scholarships for a weeklong trip to space camp. The recipients, selected by the New Detroit Science Center, will attend the U.S. Space and Rocket Center’s six-day Space Academy for Educators in Huntsville, AL, and will participate in astronaut-style training and simulations, classroom and laboratory events, and workshopsand tours.

The scholarships are part of a national scholarship program funded by the touring exhibit “Space: A Journey to Our Future,” developed in collaboration with NASA and currently being shown at the NewDetroit Science Center.
