Educators to Gather at InfoComm ’06

Event offers displays of the latest in audiovisual technology

COME ONE, COME ALL More than 26,000
audiovisual technologists are expected to descend
on the exhibit hall at InfoComm ’06, which will be
lined with 750 vendor booths displaying the latest
and greatest in AV technology.

FOR THE LAST 50 YEARS, InfoComm International has hosted one of the world’s largest audiovisual and presentation technologies trade shows. InfoComm ’06 will be staged in Orlando from June 4 to June 9, and organizers expect more than 26,000 AV professionals to participate in the exhibits and attend more than 100 educational sessions across12 categories.

Highlights of the show include tours at the University of Central Florida and at local attractions such as SeaWorld and Cirque Du Soleil La Nouba that will allow visitors to see how the latest audiovisual equipment isbeing implemented in the real world.

Not only will the show feature about 10,000 products, attendees will also have access to professional development opportunities. The sessions, available to attendees for a fee, will cover subjects including networking and IT, display and projection, and digital content and audio. Anyone interested may also take the Certified Technology Specialist exams for afee, as well as preparatory classes beforehand.

The 750 vendor booths lining InfoComm’06’s exhibit-hall floor are the event’s greatest draw. Companies such as Smart Technologies, 3M, Canon, Epson, and Qwizdom will be showcasing whiteboards, projectors, displays, and other AV devices that are profoundly changing the way schools operate and learning is achieved.
