Elluminate Plan V2 Streamlines Session Development

Education technology developer Elluminate has released Plan V2 for general availability. Plan V2 is an update to the company's planning and development tool for conducting live, interactive educational sessions via the Internet.

Elluminate Plan V2 is a tool designed to help instructors and instructional designers organize and package content for online sessions prior to the session being conducted live. Version 2 adds improved capabilities in the area of building interactivity, new session parameter settings, drag-and-drop construction and editing, and a plan validation tool. It also adds support for Spanish, French, and Brazilian Portuguese.

Plan is part of the Elluminate Learning Suite, a collection of collaborative learning tools. It includes Elluminate's flagship Live e-learning software, as well as Elluminate Publish. Elluminate Live is an e-learning, conferencing, and online collaboration tool designed for use in education. Elluminate Publish is a tool used to create reusable learning content from Elluminate Live recordings.

"This spring, we conducted an Elluminate Plan! pilot with a group of volunteer middle school math teachers," said Guadalupe Vander Ploeg, senior manager for teacher effectiveness for curriculum developer K12 Inc., in a statement released today. "Using the lesson plans we developed, each session was delivered multiple times by different teachers. As a result of the pilot, parents reported very high satisfaction rates with the additional support. We are currently analyzing student academic achievement scores and hope the additional instruction had a positive effect."

Elluminate Plan V2 is available now. Further information can be found here.
