Epson To Ship Sub-$500 Portable Projector

At the InfoComm 2010 conference in Las Vegas, Epson unveiled a 5.1-pound portable LCD projector that it said will ship for less than $500.

The new projector, PowerLite S9, offers an 800 x 600 (SVGA) resolution, a brightness of 2,500 lumens, a 1.35x digital zoom, and ±30 degree vertical keystone correction.

Other features include a USB port, an extended lamp life of 5,000 hours, support for closed captioning, and direct power off.

The projector is scheduled to ship in September for an estimated street price of $499. Further information can be found here.
