RM Learning Releases K-12 Tablet, Math Resource

RM Education has released RM Slate, a tablet designed for K-12 schools, and RM Math Aligned, an online math curriculum and learning management system.

The Slate is a 2 pound, .5-inch-thick tablet with an 11 inch, 1,366 x 768 resolution multi-touch screen. It comes preloaded with RM Easiteach Next Generation, RM Podium 2.0, and RM Sonica.

The RM Slate runs Windows 7 and also features Bluetooth 2.1+EDR and 802.11b/g/n connectivity, as well as HDMI and USB ports and slots for SD and SIM cards.

Other features include:

  • 2 GB RAM;
  • 32 GB internal storage;
  • Flash capability;
  • Handwriting recognition;
  • A 1.3 megapixel camera;
  • Speakers and a microphone.

RM Math Aligned is a new online version of RM Math Framework Edition, the company's interactive math curriculum and content management system.

RM Math Aligned adds electronic assessment and improved performance tracking, as well as a database that automatically updates any time state standards change. The new version also includes planning tools for differentiated curricula, sharing of courses and resources among teachers, and the ability to search by for content by keyword or state standards.

RM Math Aligned is for grades 6 through 12, and can be purchased for the school or district level.
