MIT Media Lab To Host Technology in the Classroom Town Hall

The MIT Media Lab will hold a Technology in the Classroom Town Hall meeting on Thursday, September 13 at 3:00 pm ET.

"Leading education thought leaders and policy makers, plus parents, teachers and students will gather to discuss technology's influence in learning and how to cultivate new, innovative learning models," according to information released by the school.

Co-produced with NBC News' Education Nation and NBC Learn, the event will feature panels called "The Digital Divide: Equity and Access" and "How Technology Spurs Innovation in the Classroom." Panelists will include:

Rehema Ellis, chief education correspondent at NBC News, will moderate the event with support from Special Correspondent Chelsea Clinton and Anchor Kim Khazei, of NBC Boston's WHDH-TV affiliate.

Attendees and people in the online audience will also be invited to ask questions.
