Edgenuity Expands Blended Online Learning Courses for Summer Education Programs

Online learning provider Edgenuity (formerly E2020) will boost its summer school program by enhancing 185 courses on its roster of Common Core and state standards-aligned curricula.

The program, which includes courses covering core curriculum, credit recovery, electives, and state-certified online teaching services, is designed to help schools and districts develop cost-effective summer education programs that meet the needs of students who wish to take advantage of the summer season to catch up or accelerate their academic learning.

The flexible, online courses allow students to work from home or at school at their own pace. Instructors can customize the curriculum and monitor student progress in real time, which allows them to easily change content or adapt instruction to meet student aptitude.

Key features of the summer program courses include:

  • Standards based instruction;
  • Interactive learning tools ;
  • Video lessons led by certified teachers;
  • Labs and other interactive activities;
  • Online teaching and coaching services; and
  • Real-time feedback

 "Districts and schools are particularly challenged to offer engaging, efficient, and effective programs in the summer months when a wide variety of subjects must be supported with a smaller teaching staff. Schools can easily customize our offering to make the most of their resources and ensure that summer school students can reach their academic goals," said Edgenuity CEO Sari Factor, in a prepared statement.

Edgenuity offers interactive online learning courses that use video lectures, animation, and simulations to instruct students in core instruction, test and exam preparation, advanced placement, career education, credit recovery and alternative education, at-risk enrichment, special needs, adult education, English as a second language, and blended and online instruction.
