FETC 2014 Speaker Applications Closing Soon

FETC 2014 may still be out on the horizon, but organizers are already getting ready to select the workshop and session presenters that will comprise next year's conference. The deadline to submit a conference proposal is Friday, May 31.

The online call for presentations site is used for all concurrent sessions, posters, featured sessions, and workshops. Applicants can now go to the Website and submit proposed session titles, session descriptions, and other details.

Applications will be evaluated during the summer and candidates will be notified by e-mail in September.

According to Jennifer Womble, program manager for 1105 Media education events, which organizes the event, there are no specific requirements for speakers, and she pointed out that classroom teachers with significant experience or knowledge to share are just as welcome as seasoned professional speakers or district or state technology coordinators. She said of particular interest will be those who can demonstrate knowledge in emerging technologies or those who have solid experience with tried-and-true results of technological implementation in classrooms and schools.

FETC 2014 will be held in Orlando's Orange County Convention Center Jan. 28-31, 2014.
