LoudCloud Updates LMS with Collaboration, Analytics Features

LoudCloud has updated its learning management system, to version 4.0, which includes new collaboration, analytics, and adaptive learning features.

In addition to the updates, the system introduces three new features: LoudTrack, a stand-alone outcomes manager; Campus Communities, a collaborative application that helps students and faculty interact and collaborate; and a dedicated e-portfolio builder for students.

Updates include:

  • Adaptive Learning paths for students, and system generated algorithms to personalize content;
  • A configurable analytics engine that allows institutions to set performance benchmarks and red flag at-risk performers;
  • An enhanced learning app center that includes default integrations with programs like MyMathLab, Equella, TurnItIn, and BigBlueButton; and
  • Default integration APIs with standard SIS and CRM applications.

The company is also beta releasing a version of the LMS specifically for competency-based learning.

"Ease of use and open source integration are now table stakes," said Manoj Kutty, CEO of LoudCloud Systems in a statement. "Adaptive learning and advanced analytics that drive student engagement, performance, and retention are the future of education, and Version 4.0 delivers those things."
