LiveSchool Launches Free Behavior Management Tool
LiveSchool has launched a free version of its behavior management system for K-12 classrooms. Previously only available via a school-wide contract, the Web-based application is now accessible to any teacher with an Internet-connected device.
Based on positive behavioral interventions and supports (PBIS) or school-wide PBIS, LiveSchool allows teachers to record behavior points for students. Features of the system include:
- The ability to select multiple students;
- The ability to create new classes;
- At-a-glance progress views;
- The ability to record the location of behaviors;
- Comment sharing;
- The ability to display positive feedback on an interactive whiteboard or projector while keeping demerits hidden;
- Class dashboard displays with total points earned, daily or weekly point totals and class growth charts;
- The ability for students to spend points earned on rewards such as the ability to choose their own seat, have a pizza party, take a homework pass or get an extra recess;
- Data bubbles that include points and demerits from all of a student's teachers so each team member can see how their day is going; and
- The ability to print weekly reports for individual students that include information from all of their teachers.
