CompTIA Launches Online Resource for Students Interested in IT Careers

CompTIA has launched Skillsboost, a new IT careers resource for students, teachers and parents.

With the theme that "IT is at the heart of every business and industry," the site offers "the latest information on careers within the IT industry as well as opportunities for technology jobs in other businesses and industries — from big corporations to small family run businesses," according to a news release.

Features of the site include:

  • An interactive infographic about the opportunities in IT;
  • A video series designed to give users a look into jobs in various IT areas such as security, Web design, networking and more;
  • Success stories from IT professionals;
  • A free quiz for students to test their knowledge of core IT areas;
  • A top 10 list of steps students can take to make themselves attractive to IT employers; and
  • Information about CompTIA's Authorized Partner Program for schools to enhance learning for students interested in IT careers.
