“The Notebook 7 spin is a flexible, powerfully entertaining multimedia laptop that echoes the incredible design and power of our existing award-winning Notebook line,” said Gary Riding, senior vice president of product marketing at Samsung Electronics America, in a prepared statement. “Consumers are using PCs for everything from working on the go to streaming entertainment around the home, and with the Notebook 7 spin, we’ve built a multimedia laptop that is ready for today and built for tomorrow. It has the unique ability to upgrade by adding an SSD to cut down on load times while also adding storage, as well as the ability to upgrade the RAM.”

The Notebook 7 spin features a sixth generation Intel Core i5 or i7 processor, a 1 TB hard drive, 16 GB of system memory and a 360-degree touch display for various viewing angles. The display is powered by an Nvidia GeForce 940MX GPU with 2 GB DDR3L memory. The device comes in two sizes — a 13.3-inch display and a 15.6-inch version. The PC has three modes: notebook, stand up and tablet.

In addition, the laptop features an auto backlit keyboard, allowing for comfortable typing in low light conditions. The battery can be extended for up to two hours with 20 minutes of charging. The 13.3-inch version fully charges in 90 minutes, while the 15.6-inch edition charges in 100 minutes.

Other features include:
  • USB-C with charging, 5 Gbps transfer speeds and 4K out with a display adapter;
  • HDMI out;
  • One USSB 3.0 and two USB 2.0 ports; and
  • A 3-in-1 card slot.

Samsung, one of the corporate sponsors of ISTE 2016, will be at booth No. 2500 during the conference. For more details, visit samsung.com.
