Discovery Education Hosts 3 Free Virtual Field Trips

Discovery Education is hosting three virtual field trips next week, free for educators worldwide, in an effort to start the new school year with dynamic, digital learning experiences.

The scheduled field trips are:

  • International Dot Day (Sept. 13) – an event that explains the origins of Dot Day and celebrates the message in The Dot by best-selling author and illustrator Peter Reynolds;
  • Of the People: Protecting Our Ocean (Sept. 14) – an event held in conjunction with the 2016 Our Ocean conference, hosted by Secretary of State John Kerry, that informs students on unsustainable and illegal fishing, marine pollution and climate-related impacts; and
  • Constitution Day on (Sept. 16) – a celebration of Constitution Day that takes students behind-the-scenes of the Library of Congress in Washington, D.C.
