DonorsChoose.org Launches District Partnership Program

DonorsChoose.org is starting a free program to help school leaders find resources and funding opportunities to address the needs of their teachers.  The District Partnership Program is working with 10 school district to pilot the initiative.

Each district gets access to a customized landing page on DonorsChoose.org where they can monitor materials donated and get early notifications on new philanthropic funding opportunities for their teachers.

"School district leaders are our greatest allies in ensuring teachers can use DonorsChoose.org effectively to help support their students," said DonorsChoose.org founder Charles Best. "The District Partnership Program streamlines the way we work with districts, opening up insights and opportunities to maximize our collective efforts and helps more teachers access support from our national network of donors and partners."

Over the past 10 months, DonorsChoose.org has worked with AASA, CoSN, NAEP and NASSP to create toolkits for district leaders, administrators and teachers that highlight best practices and considerations to meet their funding goals.
