Riverside Insights Acquires Aperture Education

Riverside Insights, a provider of ability assessments and standardized tests for K–12 schools, has acquired SEL assessment firm Aperture Education, Riverside announced today.

“The addition of Aperture’s SEL solutions to the Riverside portfolio of research-based ability and achievement assessments will help K-12 educators obtain the most valid, reliable, and comprehensive view of each learner,” Riverside Insights said in a news release.

Riverside, a portfolio company of Alpine Investors, did not disclose terms of the deal.

The Aperture System, which includes the DESSA suite of strength-based assessments, CASEL-aligned intervention strategies, and robust reporting all in one digital platform, has been used by more than a million U.S. K–12 students, the company said.
