Vector Solutions Adds New Topics to its Student Safety and Wellness Training Course Library

School safety training provider Vector Solutions has introduced new online student courses on safety topics such as trauma awareness, dating violence, human trafficking, and more, the company said in a news release.

The short online video lessons, added this week to Vector’s existing library of Student Safety & Wellness Courses, “help schools teach and promote discussions about important safety, wellness, and social and emotional learning topics that have a big impact on individual students and the school community,” Vector Solutions said.

Each topic is covered in brief, age-appropriate modules for grades 9–12 and grades 6–8, according to the news release; they will be available to schools for the 2022–2023 school year.

The new series includes the following topics:

  • Active Assailant Preparedness
  • Dating Violence Awareness
  • Human Trafficking Awareness
  • Sexual Abuse Awareness
  • Trauma Awareness

Previously released safety training video collections include titles such as Bullying & Cyberbullying, Youth Suicide Awareness, Alcohol, Vaping & Drug Prevention, Sexual Harassment, Digital Citizenship, Stress & Anxiety, Depression, Healthy Relationships, and others.

“Authored by subject-matter experts, the Student Safety & Wellness Courses are presented by diverse young people to help engage students with the content,” the company said. “Teachers can assign the courses to students to complete independently, or use them in a facilitated group setting such as homeroom or during advisory periods. The courses can also be used for remediation.”

Each module comes with educator resources such as lesson plans, assessments, discussion questions, and discussion-facilitation activities.
