Applications for STEAM Educator Grants Open through Aug. 15 for High School Teachers

The National Society of High School Scholars’ STEAM Educator Grant, accepting applications through Aug. 15, is for high school educators who teach STEAM principles or subjects and are currently employed at a public or private high school in the United States.

The five awards of $1,000 apiece should be used to “enhance STEAM-related activities, innovation, and classroom excellence for teachers in a STEAM field.” Funds may be used for supplies, materials, field trips, or other resources to enhance the delivery of their courses.

The application process requires a “prompt response” of 500-800 words to the question: “How would this grant opportunity enhance your classroom effectiveness in a STEAM field?” Also required to apply is a color headshot, a resume, and a letter of recommendation from a principal or administrator.

Learn more and apply at the STEAM Educator Grant page at the NSHSS website.

Applications close at 11:59 p.m. ET on Aug. 15.
