South Carolina Adopts Experiential Digital Science Techbook for High School Biology

The South Carolina State Board of Education has approved the high school biology course from Discovery Education’s Science Techbook lineup for statewide use as a core instructional resource, according to a news release.

The Discovery Education Science Techbook’s high school biology course, designed to align with state standards, “offers a unique and engaging three-dimensional learning experience that aligns with S.C. College & Career-Ready Science Standards” through both print and digital editions, providing classroom flexibility for educators seeking to grow student engagement, Discovery Education said.

The Techbook courses are delivered through the Discovery Education learning platform, which aims to help streamline educator duties with build-in features including differentiation, auto-grading, and lesson content. Additionally, the content and instructional support features are available in multiple Lexile levels and authentic Spanish, the company noted.
