Novakid Launches AI App for English-Speaking Practice
Novakid, an online English learning platform for children, has launched NovaPals, an AI-powered conversational app for independent English-speaking practice. The app is designed for learners ages 13 and up who have outgrown children's apps but aren't yet ready for adult tools.
Rather than focusing on grammar drills or vocabulary exercises, NovaPals offers real-time conversations with an AI partner that adapts to the user's proficiency level, remembers previous interactions, and aligns to a structured CEFR-aligned curriculum, the company explained in a news announcement. Novakid's proprietary conversational AI agents guide learners through defined learning objectives with built-in assessment tracking, the company said.
"We've spent years building the best human-led English curriculum for children," said Max Azarov, CEO and co-founder of Novakid, in a statement. "NovaPals represents our next evolution: taking that expertise and reimagining it for an AI-native experience. This isn't AI layered onto traditional content, it's a product designed from day one around what conversational AI does best: personalized and adaptive practice at scale."
Within the app, learners interact with a cast of "characters" over time who provide consistent encouragement as well as a sense of connection and accountability. Gamification features such as storytelling, interactive content, leaderboards, and rewards provide an engaging learning experience.
NovaPals is available for iOS and Android devices. For more information, visit the Novakid site.
