Avantis Education Adds New VR Math and Language Learning Experiences

Avantis Education, the creator of ClassVR, has introduced two new immersive learning libraries for its Eduverse+ platform: EscapeRooms, a math suite for K-8 students, and LingoLab, a Spanish and English language learning suite for students in grades 6-12.

EscapeRooms features five themed VR experiences in which students solve puzzles and answer rapid-fire questions to race against the clock and break free of a themed escape room. Designed for use with ClassVR headsets, the suite offers two-, four-, and eight-minute challenges — with themes such as "Shark Lab," "The Floor Is Lava," and "cursed Egyptian Tomb" — that help students build core skills and master complex mathematical concepts. The challenges are available in eight languages and can be adapted for different age ranges. Each Escape Room also includes a teacher's guide with starter activities and professional development materials.

LingoLab provides more than 60 learning experiences in immersive formats such as 360-degree videos and 3D models, designed to support Spanish and English language learning from beginner to upper-intermediate levels. Lessons are aligned with ACTFL proficiency guidelines and WIDA English Language Development standards, as well as CEFR and the Oxford 3000.

"With Eduverse+, our focus is on giving teachers immersive content that has a clear role within everyday teaching and learning. Listening to educators is a vital part of that process, and both EscapeRooms and LingoLab were shaped by feedback from schools and real classroom needs," said Manjinder Kaur, vice president of product for Avantis Education, in a statement. "While they are very different experiences, both are designed to give students meaningful opportunities to develop skills, receive feedback, and build confidence. By continuing to expand Eduverse+, we're giving schools more ways to use virtual reality technology across the curriculum and making immersive learning relevant to an even wider range of classroom needs."

EscapeRooms and LingoLab join the existing Eduverse+ library of content suites, including EduverseAI, WildWorld, STEAM3D, and CareerHub. The new libraries are available to EduVerse+ customers at no additional cost.
