Ethernet Adapters Run at 100Mbps

Like Intel's first-to-market dual-speed EtherExpress PRO/100 Adapters, the PCI model increases network response time to eliminate performance bottlenecks created by bandwidth-intensive applications. The entire product family runs at both 10 Mbps and 100 Mbps, allowing users to install the cards today and seamlessly migrate to 100 Mbps when ready. It ships with a full driver suite, including optimized ease of use and installation support for Windows NT and Windows 95. With an Intel I960 processor on-board, the PRO/100 Smart Adapter enables part of the NOS to be run on the adapter, lowering CPU utilization and allowing multiple NICs to be run in the file server.
