i-Press Project Teams Youth with Journalists

Launched in September, i-Press is an interactive Web-based curriculum project that teaches middle school students journalism fundamentals. Part of CCCnet, i-Press has students write, design and publish class newspapers in HTML format. Professional journalists supply advice in a threaded online discussion area.

Free through Dec. 31, 1996, the project will run for eight months. CCCnet will become subscription-based in January, but those who sign up in 1996 may receive discounts. Computer Curriculum Corp., Sunnyvale, CA, (800) 455-7910, www.cccnet.com.
