PA's Portage Moves to IP Surveillance

Portage Area School District in Pennsylvania will be implementing a new video surveillance system in its high school under a contract with Intelligent Decisions. The turnkey IP-based network video surveillance set-up uses servers designed for high-definition surveillance and redundancy and new megapixel technology digital cameras.

There are cameras installed throughout the junior/senior high building; exterior cameras have day/night capabilities. Additional cameras are planned for installation in the upcoming year in the elementary school.

Intelligent Design partnered with Windber, PA-based Intelligent Security Technologies (IST), a recognized security and surveillance solutions company specializing in digital technologies such as PC-based digital video recorders, IP cameras, and wireless solutions.
