Educators Create Learning Playlists at MentorMob U
MentorMob announced its new fee-based learning playlist platform, MentorMob University, at this week's ISTE 2012 conference in San Diego, according to a prepared statement released by the company. The new service offers the same capabilities as the free version, which enables users to create learning playlists from material they have or pull from the Web, plus enrollment tools, learning analytics and options for a hosted, branded site.
"Online access and collaboration capabilities are completely changing the way we learn," said Vince Leung, co-founder of MentorMob. "MentorMob U lets educators harness the power of multimedia learning tools and engage students through their own private, branded site, which also has an administrative side to manage the learning experience."
Users can create learning playlists for individuals or groups and store them in folders categorized by topic or department. Teachers can set up quizzes in the playlists to gauge learner progress. The service also includes enrollment tools, permission settings to manage privacy and content rights, and analytics. Three of the service plans offered by the company include a private, branded site.
