Minnesota District Selects Nearby Vendor for New SIS

Edina Public Schools (EPS) has chosen a provider local to it to supply a new student information system (SIS).

Although Infinite Campus provides administrative software to schools throughout the United States, company representatives said Edina would benefit in particular from its close proximity to company headquarters in Blaine, MN.

"We welcome EPS to our strong network of more than 130 Minnesota districts and active user groups, and we look forward to working with EPS well into the future," said Infinite Campus Regional Sales Manager Sean Forster.

Forster said Infinite Campus' SIS would offer the district with 8,500 students and nine schools in Edina, MN, a number of options it doesn't currently have, including:

  • Students and parents will be able to access real-time information about grades, schedules and assignments from any device with Internet access;
  • Administrators will have the information they need to make informed decisions and accurate projections; and
  • Teachers will have a comprehensive suite of tools including learning management capabilities.

"In this uncertain time of mergers and acquisitions," Forster added, "Infinite Campus assures EPS of being partnered with a stable company that's been led by the same CEO and maintained the same continuously improved product since 1993."

Infinite Campus customers include school districts, regional consortia, state departments and the federal government, serving a total of 7.3 million students in 45 states.
