The three new PowerLite projectors will be shipped with Smart Notebook collaborative learning software and Smart Ink tools. They are also designed to integrate with Smart's extended control panel in order to control projector power, volume and input.

"These new Epson projectors have been specifically engineered to provide enhanced integration capabilities with Smart Board interactive whiteboard systems," said Jason Meyer, senior product manager for Epson America projectors, "bringing best-in-class learning technology to classrooms."

The three models — 530, 580 and 585W — vary only in terms of color brightness and white brightness. The PowerLite 530 and 580 have XGA resolution while the PowerLite 585W has WXGA resolution.

Each of the new projector models, which will be available for delivery in March, have 3LCD and 3-chip technology for higher color brightness. They also have short throw capability with the PowerLite 530 and 580 able to project a 77-inch image and PowerLite 585W an 87-inch image.

The projectors can wirelessly share and compare students' work from multiple devices simultaneously, all with device management software that allows teachers to control the workflow. Likewise, the projectors connect with iPhones, iPads and Android tables and smartphones.

Finally, $49 Epson replacement lamps reduce the overall cost of projector ownership.

They come with a two-year limited warranty that includes phone technical support and a replacement program that has one-day shipping of replacement parts.
