System Facilitates Keyboard Training

PC Music Studio is a complete keyboard training and entertainment system consisting of the Yamaha PSR220 portable keyboard, Voyetra Technologies' Discovering Keyboards CD-ROM (for Windows), a PC MIDI interface and an AC power adapter.

By attaching the portable keyboard to their PC, students can take interactive lessons; jam with a virtual band; and compose, arrange and produce original music.

The PSR220 also doubles as a high-quality instrument when not hooked to a computer. Highlights include 61 full-size touch-sensitive keys and Yamaha Advanced Wave Memory (AWM) tone generation technology. A large icon-based LCD permits effortless viewing of all control parameters.

The Discovering Keyboards CD-ROM, meanwhile, combines an intriguing history of the instrument with comprehensive lessons. Yamaha Corp. of America, Buena Park, CA, (800) 823-6414, www.yamaha.com.
