Group Purchases Videoconf. Solution

The Indiana Higher Education Telecommunication System (IHETS) has purchased MultiLinkís System 80 multipoint control unit (MCU) to add flexibility to its national satellite videoconferencing network.

Jeff Walker, video planning engineer for IHETS, says the System 80 provides members with two-way terrestrial video communications via a true software-based architecture that supports different platforms and standards. ìThe user interface was so simple that anyone with minimal information could come in and quickly moderate a conference.î

IHETS served as a beta site for System 80 and fully evaluated three competitive bridges before the purchase. MultiLink, Inc., Andover, MA, (508) 691-2100, www.multilink.com.
