The QED Education Network, which debuted this fall, is a unique "gathering place" for educators and the organizations that serve them. The Web site (www.EducationNetwork.com) contains legislative updates, success stories, professional development news and much more.

One component, the National Education Database, includes information on every K-12 school in the U.S. and Canada. For example, before applying for a grant, find out the percentage of students in the district that qualify for free lunch programs. Discussion forums let visitors share insights and opinions about important topics. Quality Education Data, a division of Peterson's, last month released the National School Technology Report Card, completed in cooperation with 30+ state departments of education.
