New Service Combines Fundraising and Online Shopping

SchoolPop.com, an Internet-based fundraising community for public and private K-12 schools nationwide, has announced their fully operational Web site at www.schoolpop.com. Consumers can now visit SchoolPop.com to shop at any one of over 100 popular online stores and have up to 20% of what they spend sent back to their school of choice.

The program makes it easy for schools to benefit from the purchasing power of entire communities without having to pre-purchase materials or products. SchoolPop.com provides a custom shopping mall for each participating school, offering over 100 merchants (including Amazon.com, Dell, FTD, J. Crew and many others). These merchants donate up to 20% of the purchase price to the school. There is no charge for the schools to participate and they are supplied with posters and banners with which to advertise the program to the community. SchoolPop.com, Menlo Park, CA, (650) 323-5670, www.schoolpop.com.
