Short Takes - ZyXel Communications

ZyXEL Communications' Prestige 310 is the newest of its line of routers. It is equipped with both a 10Mbps Ethernet WAN port, which allows connection to high-bandwidth cable modems, and an autosensing 10/100Mbps Ethernet port that provides a high-performance LAN environment. It is also able to act as both a DHCP (Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol) server and client. This enables the device to automatically assign IP addresses to Windows 95/98/NT and other systems logging onto a TCP/IP network, or to get addresses from a DHCP server in a remote site.
