The MFC-7400c from Brother International Corp. is a multifunction center that serves as a color printer, color fax, color copier, color scanner, and PC Fax. It comes with a digital PhotoCapture Center, which includes both Compact Flash and SmartMedia drives. These digital media drives enable users to print digital photos from CompactFlash and SmartMedia cards that are commonly used on high resolution digital cameras. The unit also includes a Video Capture port that allows direct printing of a video frame from a camcorder or VCR. The 7400c prints at up to 12 ppm for black prints and 10 ppm for color prints, with a resolution of up to 1200 x 1200. It can also send and receive color faxes to and from other fax units that have the ITU-T30E standard for color faxing. It includes a USB and parallel interface for compatibility with both Windows and Apple platforms.

The unit also incorporates a fax modem, a 20-page document feeder, a 100-sheet paper cassette, 108 auto dial locations, 4 MB of memory, and a built-in handset. It comes bundled with ArcSoft PhotoSuite software, which will automatically launch once a media card has been inserted into one of the media drives.
