The new ThinkPad R32, offering the Mobile Intel Pentium 4 Processor-M, is the latest laptop in the IBM family. Targeted for educators, the R32 offers increased flexibility with a new FireWire IEEE 1394 port as well as two USB ports for connecting peripheral devices, such as scanners and digital cameras. Some models feature integrated Wi-Fi support and IBM’s Embedded Security Subsystem — the first and only TCPA-compliant solution currently available. Ultrabay Plus support for additional devices, such as an optional second battery, and dedicated graphics capabilities are also included in the new R32. Prices start at $1,649.
