Wisconsin Schools Move to Safari Montage for VOD

##AUTHORSPLIT##<--->

01.30.2007—According to Library Video Co., schools and districts across the state of Wisconsin have begun adopting the company's Safari Montage WAN Manager and Creation Station, joining Chicago Public Schools, Plano ISD, and Forsyth County Schools, which have also recently adopted the VOD management system.

Safari Montage is a WAN-based VOD and DAM system designed specifically for schools. It includes four-, eight- and 10-bay server configurations, a core content package with pre-loaded titles from educational video producers (National Geographic, Discovery Channel, Disney Education and others), tools for creating and adding content and a WAN manager for districts delivering content to schools.

CreationStation is an add-on software tool for downloading, uploading and storing content.

The first schools and districts in Wisconsin to implement LVC's technologies include LaCrosse ISD, Appleton ASD, and Milton Schools.

"We are delighted that teachers are now equipped with the visual tools and content they need to enhance student learning in the classroom," said John Holt, network administrator for Milton Schools. "With CreationStation, we now have the ability to add content made available from the State of Wisconsin, as well as from our tech ed/multimedia classes, the high school's public access channel and the athletic program."
