Adit Releases Testdesk 1.3

2/12/2007—Adit Software has released Adit Testdesk 1.3, an update to the company's utility for generating, administering, and processing tests. It's designed to support tests covering any subject.

Adit Testdesk is suite of tools for generating and running tests and quizzes and for analyzing the results of the tests. It supports 14 different question types and allows users to combine combine true-false questions, multiple choice questions, matching questions, and other types. It also allows for customization with text, images, tables, and OLE objects.

The suite itself comprises several individual utilities, including Scriptmaker, for creating and editing scripted tests; Editor, for creating and editing tests; Reporter, for processing test results; Tester, which is used for actually running tests; Testserver, a test organization tool; and Testclient, a program for running a test on a LAN.

Testdesk also supports test security though strong encryption (Blowfish) and supports multiple passwords with the ability to set a variety of rights access.

Other features include:

  • The ability to attach audio, video and pictures to questions;
  • Import and export of tests and results in XML format;
  • Tests results designed using templates; and
  • The ability to set time limits for tests.

Adit Testdesk 1.3 is available now for $69 for various flavors of Windows. Professional, Enterprise, Standard Server, Professional Server, and Enterprise Server editions are also available. Updates from previous versions are available free of charge for registered users.
