Harris Debuts HC2.Open

##AUTHORSPLIT##<--->

CRM solutions provider Harris Connect has debuted HC2.Open, a set of APIs and extensions for Harris clients providing integration with social networking sites and offering enhanced constituent profile management capabilities.

Harris Connect provides services and technologies to help schools, colleges, and universities connect with alumni and other constituents and provides tools, such as online communities, career networking sites, and fundraising campaign support, to increase interaction with these constituents. The company's HC2.Open is part of its HC2.0 initiative, launched this last summer, to take advantage of Web 2.0 technologies to increase further the tools available for engaging constituents.

According to Harris, "HC2.Open will include APIs, mashups, and extensions for use by Harris Connect clients and their technology teams. These tools will provide the ability to create, access, and manage profile data, in addition to enabling clients to integrate to the more popular social networking sites, such as Facebook."

The HC2.Open User Profile API is currently being used in HC2.0 applications like Donation Builder, Membership Builder, and the Online Directory. This API will be available for use generally in the first quarter of 2008, according to the company.
