Datamation Systems has launched a new cart designed to provide schools with a way to recharge netbooks and to keep them secure when the small mobile devices aren't in use.
With its "Gather 'Round" design, the DS-NSC-32-Mini allows students to access netbooks from both front and back sides. The cart holds up to 32 devices and provides what it calls a "drill-resistant, pick-proof two-point locking mechanism," as well as outlets for recharging netbook batteries and running peripherals.
The cart has been sized to be compatible with the Dell Mini 9, Lenovo IdeaPad, ASUS Eee, HP Mini-Note, MSI Wind, Acer Aspire One, and XO (OLPC). If a particular school's technical requirements change, the cart's interior can be reconfigured to change models. It also offers storage for accessories or a multi-battery charger.
Product reseller CDW has the Mini priced at $1,529.99.
