Global Grid for Learning Brings Media Library to Joule LMS
Global Grid for Learning, a unit of Cambridge University Press, is teaming up with Moodlerooms to provide access to a digital media repository through the joule learning management system.
Designed for both K-12 and higher education, Moodlerooms' joule is an LMS built on the open source learning platform Moodle. It provides course management and content management capabilities, as well as a learning repository, reporting and analytics, assessment capabilities, and tools for collaboration.
Global Grid for Learning provides a library of more than 1 million copyright-cleared multimedia resources specifically for educators and students, including photos, videos, audio, interactive activities, electronic books, and other types of files. Providers include Corbis, Harris eLearning, Reuters, Waterford Institute, and Cambridge University Press itself, among many others.
As a result of the partnership, Moodlerooms customers will have access to the Global Grid for Learning library, which can be searched by age range, subject, keyword, and other parameters.
