Intel Expands Line Of LANDesk Products

Intel has expanded its LANDesk family of products to provide management technology that works seamlessly across network OSs and PC platforms.

First, the LANDesk Server Manager Pro is a combined hardware and software solution that provides remote control access to critical servers, along with an in-card battery backup, multi-NOS parameter monitoring and core LANDesk services for reporting and alerting. It supports both Windows NT servers and Novell NetWare systems.

LANDesk Workgroup Manager, meanwhile, offers tools for the most common network tasks including client remote control, electronic software distribution, workstation diagnostics and server monitoring.

Also announced is a preview of LANDesk Virus Protect for Windows NT servers. One can download the preview Intel's Web pages (www.intel.com/ comm-net/sns). Intel Corp., Santa Clara, CA, (800) 538-3373.
