Product Backs Up Data on Network

ARCserve Windows Edition maintains the same innovative functions as the award-winning DOS edition and adds new capabilities. The software backs up all NetWare servers as well as DOS, Windows and OS/2 workstations.

Parallel Streaming simultaneously processes backup and/or restore operations to seven devices chained on one SCSI adapter. ARCserve supports most industry-standard SCSI and QIC-02 tape drives and a wide variety of host adapters. Messages notify administrators in a timely manner if any problems occur.

In addition to DOS, Windows and OS/2 support, a variety of supplementary functions are available as separate modules. Agent options for Macintosh and UNIX workstations enable backups of heterogeneous environments. And the DBagent Options provide online backup of mission-critical databases on the network.

An Optional Changer tape module, coupled with an autochanger device, enables fully automated, high-capacity data storage management. Cheyenne Software, Inc., Roslyn Heights, NY, (800) 243-9462.
