College Search Site Enhances Graphics

Universal Algorithms has enhanced the graphic appeal of CollegeNET (www.collegenet.com), its Web site that lets students read about and apply to the college, university or vocational training school of their choice.

Proprietary data compression techniques allow for more robust graphics without sacrificing file transfer speeds. Bolstered by powerful search tools, specialized lists and a complete database of 4,600 schools, the site's "hit" rate has increased by 400% since its introduction one year ago.

Besides performing variable searches, students can apply to schools and pay their application fees directly through CollegeNET. Plus, the free service contains links to over 1,780 college Web sites for more detailed information on degree programs, financial aid, etc.
