Hayes Associates, a developer of software for school administrators, has signed a distribution agreement with McGraw-Hill School Systems. The agreement identifies Hayes as a McGraw-Hill School Systems Solution Partner, expanding the firm's market for its Textbook Inventory package, currently the most widely used software of its kind in Texas schools. Textbook Inventory is a DOS program that simplifies management, tracking and report generation for textbook inventories. A Windows version is planned for early next year. Data from the Texas Education Agency shows use of Textbook Inventory software reduced the number of lost and unaccounted for textbooks and associated replacement costs.
