Programs Provide Writing "Adventures"

Adventurewrite blends documentaries, music videos and instructional tools into a step-by-step educational writing process. Current "adventures" include A Written Adventure into a Culture: Benin, West Africa, which covers social studies and cultural geography; and A Written Adventure into the Deep: The Carribean Reef Shark, covering science and marine science. These programs take the writing process, simplify it into several fundamental steps, and provide fun, dynamic instruction for students. Aimed at the 4th - 9th grade levels, as well as special education and at risk students, each program is broken down into ten individual lesson plans and lasts up to two weeks.
