CA's Education First Hopes to Go to '97

Pacific Bell has requested the deadline for its $100 million Education First program be extended by one year. If approved, K-12 schools, community colleges and libraries in California would have till December 31, 1997 to apply. Education First provides installation and one year of free service for high-speed ISDN lines. It also provides technology workshops for teachers, help with developing applications, and discounts on hardware and software. To apply for Education First, schools should call (800) 901-2210.
