Join 21st Century Teacher Challenge!

An initiative announced by President Clinton in May 1996 creates a new voluntary corps -- 21st Century Teachers -- whose mission is "to help all teachers learn how to use new technology to improve teaching and learning in every school, classroom and home in America." The International Society for Technology in Education (ISTE) urges its teacher-members to accept the President's challenge and will provide special support services and materials to participants. See www.21ct.org for more information on how to become involved. During the coming year, teachers who accept the 21st Century Teachers challenge agree to: Build their own educational technology skills; Share their expertise; Use their expertise with students in the daily learning process; and Work to make classroom technology available to all students and teachers in America.
