Other Co.'s Z39.50 Clients Access EBSCO

With the release of EBSCOhost version 1.1, access to EBSCOhost data becomes possible for libraries using WinPac from Ameritech Library Services and GeoPac from Geac Computers, Inc. EBSCOhost is a Z39.50-compliant client/server periodical-access system that is now fully compatible with these clients. Full text is accessible in addition to indexing and abstracts. This new functionality gives libraries the option of offering periodical and research databases through an interface that is already familiar to library patrons.
